How Does The Book Exchange Work?

Buying our books

All our books are for sale.

You do not need to bring any books in to buy our books.

All our books are priced. If there is a sell and credit price marked on the books the 'sell' price is what you pay and the 'credit' price is what you receive as credit towards your next purchase if you bring that book back.

You do not have to bring our books back once you have read them, they are yours to keep!

Exchanging Your Books

We will take back any of the books you buy from us for the 'credit' price marked on the label provided it is in the same condition as when you bought it. This is only an in-store credit - it will not be given to you in cash.

Books that you didn't buy from us are assessed to see if we need them or not. We will make you an offer on the ones we would like, this will be for store credit only (which can be spent on anything in the shop). We do not buy in books for cash.

Due to limitations in space we cannot take all books or even most books offered to us - if you have a particular type of book, or specific authors you wish to sell you can email or ring first to see if we are purchasing them.

Selling your movies and music to us

We pay CASH for selected DVDs, CDs and Vinyl Records. We can't buy all of these items but are happy to have a look at what you have and give you a price for those we are interested in buying. DVDs must be in good condition and region 4 only. We don't generally purchase CD singles.

We may require photo ID if you have a large quantity of movies or music to sell to us.

All people selling CDs, DVDs or Records must be over 18 years old.
